The McLaughlin Family: Easter Bunnies and Naked Dude

Happy Easter everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend and for those of you here in Oregon, stayed out of the rain!!! It seems every Easter you can count on a rainy day....poor little kids looking for eggs :( No wonder most of my memories of Easter eggs hunts were inside a house!! Anyways, about the title....No we didn't see the Easter bunny but we did see the other this morning! :)

So the story goes; Matt and I are driving up to Portland to Beth and Jacob's for Easter lunch but as soon as we get onto the freeway traffic is slowed way down....oh boy. But only after a few miles, it clears right up....no problem we are back on track. At this time we see a state trooper car on a side road next to us flying past, he must have been going 80-85, and when he finally got to the on ramp he was right behind us. Of course we move over as do the cars in front of us and the cop car is gone. We get a few more miles down the road and again I see a trooper speeding along a side road and fly onto the freeway as another cop comes whizzing behind us. "Oh great, there is a huge accident in front and we are going to be stopped for hours", but we were wrong! By the time we got to Salem, we saw a line of cop cars about a mile ahead of us....Car Chase! Finally the action stopped with traffic slowing down while passing about 8 cop cars all surrounding a little red car pulled up on the middle grass median...one cop had a very large shotgun out pointing it at someone on the ground with several other cops restraining someone. Well, as we passed we got a pretty good look at this white, buck naked guy face down in the grass with his hands cuffed behind him. The female cop who was waving people pass had this look of disgust and humor on her face....you could tell she couldn't believe what she was doing on Easter morning! We have been searching but haven't found the story on the news that explains why the dude was completly naked!

Well we made it up to Beth and Jacob's, and had a lot of good stuff to eat. I have a couple of photos of the carrot cake Beth made that was just awesome! Bob and his gang stopped by for a few minutes and I finally got some updated pics of Ryder.
