Birthday Weekend

Well it's been three weeks since I hit the big 3-0 and I'm just now getting to share mostly due to working like crazy the last few weeks.  Matt's mom has been up since the beginning of the month to help out with watching Miss Fiona since our babysitter decided she needed to have a baby earlier this month :)  Since we had the free child care I decided to make the most of it and pick up some extra shifts at work.  All I can say is that I appreciate working part time so much more now!

I had a great birthday celebrated with a Mariners game, ice cream cake, and a new camera! (Matt's surprise for me)  My next post will debut pictures from my new best friend :)

San Diego 2010

Got back last Tuesday from a trip down to San Diego with Mom and the Munchie.  This was a quick opportunity for me to go down and see the family since I won't be able to make it for the Anniversary Reunion next month.  Fiona is turning out to be a great little traveler.  On the flight down we shared a row with a high school girl and got seated away from her large group that was a little nervous when she eyed the infant sitting next to her.  She seemed surprise when she found out this was Fiona's 3rd flying trip!

Father's Day 2010

My plan was to post some father's day pictures of Fiona and Matt, but the weather decided not to cooperate...(should I really be surprised I live in the Pacific Northwest and it is June)...even though it was suppose to be sunny.  I would have even taken cloudy, would have preferred it actually but no, it rained all day long!  So instead of some cute daddy/daughter pics I took some random ones of little miss today for my daddy-o since I know that is what he will be looking for tonight!  Happy Daddy-o Day Dad!

Bath time tonight was so funny.  It went something like this....take some pictures, get really excited when daddy walks in so give big smiles, then lay down on my back and kick, kick, kick, kick my feet and soak mom, then squeal at the top of my lungs because it sounds cool when it echos in the bathroom then motor boat sounds then more squealing while kicking my feet to see how high I can get the water then POOP in the tub, get yanked out by mom and put onto the changing table while still screeching and squealing as loud as I can then roll from back to belly to try and grab what ever mom left sort of near me then get rolled back while mom tries to put my diaper on but I really want that lotion bottle so I roll to my belly again while making motor boat sounds (mom is still trying to get my diaper on)....you get the idea, I have a freaking spider monkey on my hands :)

Sunny weekend

Summer has finally arrived!!!.....I think.  Wasn't it just last week that we had the torrential downpour and cold weather?  Don't I still have my rain jacket and fleece hanging on the coat rack?  This all may be true but for at least the last two days, all is forgotten :)

Here are some of Fiona's friends at a birthday party...unfortunately the one picture I got to snap of the birthday boy didn't turn out :( sorry Mac!  Because I can't seem to get labels under the photos....First is personality plus and charmer Cormac, Second photo is super smiley Kai, Third is chill, wild haired Theo, and then Fiona....the one photo is pretty blurry of her face but the only real one I had of her outfit....oh well, it is hard to try and take photos while entertaining/feeding/holding and 7 month old!

Sunday afternoon "because the camera was right beside me" pics

Here are a few photos I took of my favorite subject :) this afternoon mainly because, for once, my camera was just sitting there on the table.  I need to make sure it is easier to grab more often so I don't have such droughts of photos.  I think one of the reasons I forget that I haven't gotten the "big" camera out is because I end up taking so many quick pics on my i-phone (which I have recently downloaded onto the computer and will put up a collage of i-phone pics up soon).

So here is Miss Fiona, just over 7 months old, sitting in her Bumbo this afternoon.  No teeth, no crawling...yet, babbling "dadadada" (I told Matt this doesn't count as her first word since she doesn't  know what it means!), not sleeping through the night (she gave us 2 nights in a row....got our hopes up and then back to "normal"), starting to wave....pretty cute, I'll have to post a video, eating some solids and really seeming to enjoy it.....hmmmm I guess that is a pretty good run down of more recent stuff with the Munchy.
