Tami's Seattle visit; Part 1: The Zoo

My friend Tami and her two girls, Zoey and McKayla, came up to Seattle this past week to see me....well, actually I think it was to see Fiona but I'm getting pretty used to that :)  I am going to post this in two parts since we had so much fun both days and took lots of pictures.  So Day 1 was a trip to the Woodland Park Zoo.  It was perfect weather, not too hot or cold, although it took us so long to get around to everything (since the zoo is so big) some of the animals had gone to bed before we got to them.  Fiona enjoyed being outside but wasn't the happiest of munchkins this trip.  She was getting over a virus (we think Roseola) that caused her to have a fever last weekend and sleep like crap and be really irritable in general.  She was better by Monday but decided to work on getting her top front teeth in so the irritability continued (today, Saturday has been the first day she has been back to her happy self).  Anyways, here are some photos of the zoo!

Have to start with the animals!!

Wild Dog, loved the color of his fur!

Wild Snow Leopards! :)

Volk Fest 2010: Whistlers Bend Park

First camping trip with Fiona and a Family Reunion to boot!  What fun we had playing in the river, playing horse shoes, and eating. :)   Fiona did awesome, slept great in the pack and play and kept quite entertained by all of her cousins running around. In fact I think she was quite disappointed to come home since there isn't nearly the activity and fun as she was getting used to.  Thanks Karie for getting us all organized and putting this together, can't wait for next year.  Here are just a few of the photos from the trip.  Once I get a chance to go through them a little more I will put together a CD and send it out to everyone, I think I have most addresses and if not I will give you a call :)

Gary and Rogan...I was told this was a miracle that there was a "baby" on Gary's lap and he wasn't crying :)

9 Months

It has been a busy month for Miss Fiona.  She is eating like crazy but I think it is to keep up with her growth, it seems she has put on at least a couple of pounds and a couple of inches this past month and I swear every morning it looks like her hair has gotten thicker! :) She has started to army crawl and has gotten pretty good at it and even gets up on her knees once in a while.  I think since we don't have carpet it is easier to "slide" around on her stomach (I have the gray shirts to prove it!)  We also finally have a couple of teeth...both bottom ones, sharp little things!  Fiona babbles mama and dadda and seems to say them at appropriate times but then she will say them randomly too so who knows.  We do think she tries to say dog or doggie when Tasha comes into the room....of course, the dog is going to get her first word :)

Tried to get the munchie to smile but she was too interested in what Tasha was doing to pay any attention to my goofy faces or weird noises but here is what I got.

I would say she was done with pictures :)

ok, so I got a few smiles....but I won't tell you how many photos I had to take to get those :)

Thanks Carla for the cute outfit!!

Although this was the end of our trip, I thought this would be a good picture for the beginning of this website
